Michaela L. Hudson serves as a Deputy Coroner in Dougherty County, Georgia, and is a dedicated funeral service professional and Certified Grief Counselor. She holds an Associate degree in General Education and an Associate of Science degree in Funeral Service. She earned her grief counseling certification through the American Institute of Health Care Professionals (AIHCP). Michaela also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University.

With experience in death investigation, funeral service, grief support, and mental health, Michaela is passionate about serving individuals and families with compassion, dignity, and professionalism. She is committed to supporting her community through some of life’s most difficult moments while continuing to expand her knowledge and service in the areas of grief, mental health, and death care.
